# Crewproof

> A field service job app for small trades crews, built around reliability and trustworthy photo upload rather than feature count. Currently in development; waitlist open. The research behind it is published in full.

## Key findings (July 2026 study)

- Corpus: 7,682 one-to-three-star reviews across 58 field service apps; 6,871 contained a diagnosable complaint.
- Reliability (crash, freeze, doesn't work): 19.5% of substantive complaints — the largest theme.
- Reliability by app: Salesforce Field Service 41.0%, Workiz 34.2%, ServiceTitan Mobile 31.9%, Simpro 26.1%, Buildertrend 20.3%, Jobber 19.5%, Housecall Pro 13.9%, Joist 11.1%.
- Photo and attachment handling: 3.6%. Offline and connectivity: only 1.7%.
- An initial offline-first thesis was falsified: it fell from 2.4% at 21 apps to 1.7% at 58 apps, marking it an artefact of the original sample.

## Stated limitations

- 41% of substantive reviews were not matched by the complaint taxonomy; all percentages are floors, not true rates.
- App store reviews over-represent the daily user; buyer voice on G2 and Capterra is not represented.
- No recency weighting; some cited failures may already be fixed.
